Your private journal and encrypted synchronization

Visited clubs, favorites, wishlist entries, personal ratings, positive tags, notes and theme preference are stored in your browser. They are never published as public reviews. You can export, import or erase this information from the settings panel.

If you enable synchronization, the browser encrypts the journal before uploading it. The server stores only an encrypted payload, a randomly generated vault identifier, password-derivation settings, authorization hashes, revision information and timestamps. The synchronization password and readable journal are never sent to the server. FKK Map cannot decrypt the payload or recover a forgotten code or password.

If you choose to keep a trusted device unlocked, the browser saves a non-exportable derived encryption key and an authorization token in its private IndexedDB storage. The password itself is never stored. Disconnecting the device removes this remembered access. Removing browser storage or using private browsing may remove the local journal and connection, so keep an independent exported backup.

Anonymous audience measurement

FKK Map keeps only aggregate daily and total visit counts. It does not use a third-party analytics service and the statistics database does not store visitor IP addresses, user-agent strings, account identifiers or browsing paths.

A first-party cookie named fkk_map_visit lasts for 30 minutes and prevents repeated refreshes from increasing the counter. Automated crawlers and authenticated administrator sessions are excluded where they can be identified. The figures are therefore approximate. You can disable future counting for this browser above.

Reports, contact messages and security

When you submit a correction report, the selected club, issue category, message and any suggested website are stored for administrator review. The contact page additionally stores the request category and, only when supplied, your name, email address and club or subject reference. These details are used solely to review and answer your request.

To limit abuse, the server creates a one-way pseudonymous network identifier and uses it to restrict repeated submissions. Reports and contact messages remain in the administration database until they are deleted and may remain temporarily in protected backups. Do not include intimate, medical, payment or unnecessary identity information.

External services

The interactive map uses Leaflet and loads OpenStreetMap-based map tiles through CARTO infrastructure. Official club websites, Google Maps, FacilMap and other external destinations open only through clearly labelled links. Those services apply their own terms and privacy practices, and FKK Map does not control their content.

FKK Map is not a club, booking service, agency or representative of any listed venue. It is not affiliated with the venues, Google Maps, FacilMap, OpenStreetMap, OpenFreeMap, OpenMapTiles or MapLibre. Names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Accuracy, adults and safety

Venue details can change and may be incomplete or incorrect. Always verify opening hours, prices, entry rules and the official website before travelling. A map listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee of legality, availability, quality or safety.

The website is intended only for adults aged 18 or over. Respect consent, privacy, venue rules and applicable local law. Never photograph or identify another person without clear permission.

Corrections and privacy requests

For a directory correction, open the relevant club on the map and use Report incorrect information. For general enquiries, photo removal or privacy requests, use the contact page. An email address is optional, but the administrator cannot send an individual reply without one.
